Happy 2026! Once I put away all the holiday decor, January arrived loud, mad, and cold. I did manage to go to a semi final poetry slam and heard some great poets spit their truths. Now we have entered into February even colder, at least here in North Carolina. Waking up to a few inches of snow outside, I quickly remember why I love the beach life so much!
Today marks the first day of Black History Month and even through all this ciaos this world is dealing with I still want to pay tribute to my ancestors who have been forgotten and celebrate those whom are still living. I am currently working on my next writing project I plan to put out the later half of the year. With several new heavy hitting socially driven poems, I am definitely plan on making my presence known through my voice written by me.
I wrote a new poem about why I think Black History Month is so important not only to me, but to this nation. Erase the Proof, Not the Impact, is about no matter how hard you try to erase the past, doesn't mean it never exists. Please take a listen and please leave a comment with your thoughts about how this poem made you feel.
I also have updated my site to include new insight on a few other things.
